On the afternoon of the 6th, an open talk on the Netflix film “Ballerina” (directed by Lee Chung Hyun), the official selection of the On Screen section of the 28th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), was held at the outdoor stage of the Udon Cinema Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan.
In attendance were director Lee Chung Hyun, actors Jeon Jong Seo, Park Yoo Rim, and Kim Ji Hoon, and music director Grey.
“Ballerina” is an emotional action revenge drama that tells the story of Ok Joo (Jeon Jong Seo), a former bodyguard, as she hunts down Choi Pro (Kim Ji Hoon), the man who killed her dear friend Min Hee (Park Yoo Rim).
“I’ve been playing a lot of characters who don’t know where they’re going, but when I met Ok Joo, I thought, ‘I can do a character like this now,'” said Jeon Jong Seo.
When asked if she had a craving for action, she said, “Among the characters I’ve always wanted to play, there were action films, but it was more special to work with director Lee Chung Hun and (other actors and staff).”
The Busan International Film Festival, which opened on the 4th, will screen 209 films from 69 countries and 60 community films on 25 screens in four theatres until the 13th.
