Welcome to Samdalri also known as Welkeomtu Samdalri(웰컴투 삼달리) is directed by Cha Young Hoon, the man behind Forecasting Love and Weather (2022), When the Camellia Blooms (2019), Are You Human Too? (2018) and Uncontrollably Fond (2016). The script has been written by Kwon Hye Joo who has previously worked on Hi Bye, Mama! (2020) and Go Back Couple (2017). It is a Korean drama where the story revolves around two childhood friends, Jo Yong Pil (Ji Chang Wook) and Jo Sam Dal (Shin Hye Sun).

Ji Chang Wook plays Jo Yong Pil, a forecaster at the Jeju Island Meteorological Agency. Yong Pil always challenges the weather forecasts made by the headquarters and even argues with the head of the meteorological office. After losing his mother, a haenyeo, due to a weather misreport, he dreamed of becoming a forecaster, and he continues to work as a meteorologist to protect his beloved Jeju Island, especially the precious elder people living in his hometown of Samdali.
