Toni Kroos has spoken out on his future at the club, with his contract expiring at the end of the season

Toni Kroos has been a key component of Real Madrid’s success since joining from Bayern Munich in 2014. The German midfielder has appeared in 350 games for the Blancos and has won numerous local and European titles.

Kroos’ current deal with the club expires at the end of next season. Despite the dearth of news regarding a potential contract renewal, the German insists he wants to retire at Santiago Bernabeu.

“This is a fantastic friendship that I would never jeopardise for any kind of rumour,” the Real Madrid player told Sky Sports (source Marca).

“I believe that is the case on both sides,” says the author.

“This is where I want to end my career, and this is how it will happen.” I can’t say exactly when it will be, whether it will be in 2023 or a year or two later.”
