Queen Of Tears Episode 7 Recap | Kim Ji Won, Kim Soo Hyun and Park Sung Hoon

In the tvN drama “Queen of Tears”, the dark secrets of Park Sung-hoon and Lee Mi-sook have been exposed.

In the 7th episode, the mystery surrounding Yoon Eun-sung’s (played by Park Sung-hoon) birth was revealed.

On that day, Hong Hae-in (played by Kim Ji-won) rejected Baek Hyun-woo’s (played by Kim So-hyun) explanation regarding the divorce papers. Reflecting on their time together, she shed tears.

Later, while Hong Hae-in was alone outside, she narrowly avoided a traffic accident.

Baek Hyun-woo rescued her and scolded her, saying, “What are you doing here? Don’t you realize how dangerous it is for you to be out like this?”

He continued, “Let’s go inside. I’ll explain everything from the beginning, and we’ll do things your way.”

However, Hong Hae-in coldly turned away, saying, “Baek Hyun-woo, if something like this happens again, don’t save me.”

Hong Hae-in was discharged from the hospital. When Baek Hyun-woo tried to convince her to continue treatment, she responded icily, “Don’t act all concerned. It’s better for you if I die. I’ve already given up.”

Baek Hyun-woo pondered deeply and then asked, “Are you giving up completely?” He challenged her further, saying, “So now you won’t do anything? You won’t even file a lawsuit? If you divorce me without any legal battle, I’ll be grateful. After all, you already know everything. Are you just going to let me be in this situation? Even without this, living together was difficult. Don’t look at me with those eyes as if you didn’t know who you are. Did I deserve this fate? I could have lived comfortably as a chaebol’s son-in-law.”

He continued, “Honestly, when you said that you would die in three months, I was relieved. But now I’ve been caught. Everything’s ruined. But if you give up on everything and divorce me, I’ll thank you. Will you do that?”

Provoked by his words, Hong Hae-in retorted, “What are you trying to achieve? Are you intentionally making me angry to the point where I can’t bear it?” Baek Hyun-woo responded, “Then try it. Do something. Anything.”

Back in Korea, Hong Hae-in announced during a family meeting that she would investigate Baek Hyun-woo through an audit team. If anything suspicious is found, she plans to take legal action.

Baek Hyun-woo met with a lawyer friend and self-criticized, saying, “I’m angry. I made Hae-in cry. But because it’s Hae-in, I’m losing my mind. What have I done?”

Later, Hong Hae-in stamped her seal on the divorce papers he had written. She declared, “I’ll decide when to submit this. I understand why my aunt beat her ex-husbands before divorce. I’ll hire a much stronger lawyer than my aunt. You won’t escape. I’ll make sure you’re thoroughly defeated.”

Baek Hyun-woo expressed his concern, saying, “I hope you don’t geto too close to Yoon Eun-sung (Park Sung-hoon).

He’s someone who suddenly appeared after a long time with no contact. He gifted a large investment to your brother and handed you the contract rights to Herkina. I think he has ulterior motives. He is suspicious.”

When Hong Hae-in mentioned that Yoon Eun-sung will not fool her easily, Baek Hyun-woo replied bitterly, “I fooled you. Just don’t make the same mistake twice.”

The tension between them continues as they grapple with secrets, emotions, and legal battles.

During the dinner gathering with Yoon Eun-sung, Hong Hae-in mentioned the cards he had kept. She said, “If there’s anything I can do now, I’ll repay you.” Yoon Eun-sung replied, “Get a divorce. Divorce Baek Hyun-woo. That’s what I want. He’s the person who was going to abandon you. Surely you won’t continue living together?”

Hong Hae-in sternly responded, “I’ll handle it myself. You’re crossing the line again.” Yoon Eun-sung chuckled and said, “Should I show you what it means to truly cross the line. How about taking the seat next to you? Only then can we say I’ve crossed the line.”

In response, Hong Hae-in abruptly left the table. As she did, her medication fell to the floor, catching Yoon Eun-sung’s attention.

Later, Mo Seol-hee (played by Lee Mi-sook) visited Yoon Eun-sung, who had returned to Queens Town. Mo Seol-hee revealed their relationship, saying, “Are you doing okay? It’s a place I’ve kept empty for a long time. But even so, having my son by my side makes me feel secure.”

Yoon Eun-sung retorted, “I told you to leave. You need to be more careful?” Mo Seol-hee corrected him, saying, “Not ‘you,’ but ‘Mom.’” Yoon Eun-sung chuckled, “I’ve held back from calling you that, even through a slip of the tongue. Now it won’t come out at all.”

Mo Seol-hee confessed, “I wanted to live while being embraced by my son. But it turned out that way. On my birthday, I couldn’t afford meat for the seaweed soup, and I struggled with school uniform costs. Good days never came. Isn’t this house splendid? Now we’ll kick out the current residents and become the owners. There’s no need to feel wronged. We’re just rearranging the order of life. They had their turn, and they were happy. Now it’s our turn to have and be happy.”

In the ending scene, Baek Hyun-woo tightly embraced Hong Hae-in, who was beginning to lose her memories.

On a rainy night, Baek Hyun-woo found Hong Hae-in feeding a cat while holding an umbrella. She asked, “How did you know I was here? Did you see the umbrella? Remember it? It’s the same umbrella you gave me. You have no idea how funny it was.”

Hong Hae-in repeated the same words that she had said in Germany to Baek Hyun-woo. As they talked more Baek Hyun-woo gets to know Hae-in has lost her recent memories.

Baek Hyun-woo hugged Hong Hae-in while tears flowed. She whispered, “Do you worry about me that much? Baek Hyun-woo, I love you,” melting his heart completely.

Episode 8 of Queen of Tears will air on March 31, 2024. The K-drama will be available on Netflix with English subtitles later on the day.
