Barca might have to make the hard choice between Neymar and Martinez as the club look to count their losses in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Despite being one of the biggest clubs in world football, Barca have also been affected and already considered asking players to personally help out.
What this means is that Barca might now have to choose between Neymar or Martinez in the summer, as per ESPN.
The report says the Brazilian is Barcelona’s preferred option, with the club making plans to bring him back before his current PSG contract ends next summer.
Other figures in the Barca hierarchy are said to be leaning towards Martinez, who is six years younger than Neymar and is a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez.
As per the report, Barca believe his €111m release clause is excessive but might be ready to negotiate a player plus cash offer with Inter.
