Barcelona are in perfect condition to win Spanish league, says Vidal

A 2-0 victory in El Clasico back in March saw Real Madrid leapfrog FC Barcelona to the top of the La Liga table.

Just prior to the lockdown, however, a defeat against Real Betis forced Real Madrid to give up the top spot away to Barcelona.

But both the teams once again exchanged places when the Catalans endured a goalless draw against Sevilla on Friday and Los Blancos went on to record a 2-1 victory against Real Sociedad over the following weekend.

With just seven matches left to be played, neither of the teams can afford to drop any more points to maintain pressure on each other.

In an interview with Fox Sports, Arturo Vidal says he is convinced the scales pointing to chances of winning the title will once again tip in his side’s favor.

“As the games are more close together, we need to use the time as best we can to ensure we go into the next game in the best possible shape. But I think we are in perfect condition to be champions,” the official club website quotes Vidal.

“The great atmosphere among the team is an important factor. We have all become close friends and that helps on the field. It’s very important because it really shows. I’m happy.”
