A long time ago Zlatan Ibrahimovic was invited to Arsenal, the Swede even though young still had a huge ego.
In an interview reported by Sport Bible, Zlatan recalls the invite and his expectations from the meeting with the French tactician.
Let’s just say things did not go to plan, the Gunners missed out and the rest is history.
Ibrahimovic said:
“I went to London to see Wenger, who asked me to have an audition for Arsenal.”
“I told him ‘I will not do a trial: either you take me or not’.”
“I met with him because I expected him to tell me to start with them right away.”
“But Ibra does not do trials.”
