Video: The Trailer For The 26th Detective Conan Anime Film Highlights The Setting And Antagonist

On Tuesday, the official website for Detective Conan: Kurogane no Submarine (Iron Submarine), the 26th film in the Detective Conan series, began streaming a new trailer.

The film’s backdrop, the high-tech Pacific Buoy facility that contains a new global surveillance system, is highlighted in the trailer.

On April 14, 2023, the film will be released in Japan.

The plot is set on the island of Hachij-jima, south of central Tokyo. Many engineers from around the world have gathered to witness the introduction of a new system that connects all law enforcement video systems worldwide and enables facial recognition globally.

Conan arrives with an invitation from Sonoko. He receives a message from Subaru Okiya, who informs him that the Black Organization’s Gin has assassinated a Europol agent in Germany.
Conan is disturbed when he explores the new facility, just in time for the Black Organization to kidnap a female engineer in search of vital data on her USB drive.

The film is directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa, while the screenplay is written by Takeharu Sakurai. The music is being composed by Ygo Kanno.

Meitantei Conan Haibara Ai Monogatari: Kurogane no Mystery Train (Detective Conan Ai Habara’s Story of the Jet-Black Mystery Train), will be released in Japan on January 6. The film reassembles the anime’s four-episode “Jet-Black Mystery Train” arc (episodes 701-704), as well as crucial scenes centered on the character Ai Haibara from earlier portions of the television anime’s run, as well as additional footage connecting the film to Detective Conan: Kurogane no Submarine at the end.
