Arsenal lost a match against Championship Brentford 3-2 played behind closed doors as they continue their preparation for next weeks return to Premier League

Arsenal saw themselves lose to Championship side Brentford by a 3-2 scoreline.

Considering the Gunners face Manchester City in exactly a week, the result would come as a blow to Mikel Arteta’s preparations.

Arsenal led 1-0 at the break 1-0 at the break through a goal from Joe Willock, but the west Londoners struck three times in the second period to surprise their hosts.

Arsenal also joined in the stance against racism as the Gunners released images of their players warming up in Black Lives Matter t-shirts before the match. The images were posted on the club’s Twitter account.

In the Premier League standings, Arsenal find themselves in ninth place, eight points behind fourth placed Chelsea.
