‘The Art of Negotiation’: Kwon Yu-ri’s Character Reveals Cancer Battle

JTBC’s drama ‘The Art of Negotiation’ took an emotional turn in its latest episode, as Song Ji-oh (played by Kwon Yu-ri) made a heartbreaking confession about battling cancer. The revelation came during a tense conversation with Juno (played by Lee Je-hoon), adding a deeply personal layer to the ongoing high-stakes negotiations.

Dramatic Developments in ‘The Art of Negotiation’

The episode aired on March 30, depicting the growing tension as Jae-sik, angered by Juno’s relentless push to sell the resort, collapsed and was hospitalized. Despite a major industry-wide crackdown, rumors about Jae-sik’s condition spread quickly, creating additional complications.

As the stakes continued to rise, Dong-jun suggested an alternative plan to Juno, proposing that Sanin take over the resort to generate enough funds for the chairman to clear his debts. However, Juno firmly rejected the idea, stating, “That would be paying off the chairman’s personal debt with company funds. Since he already gifted the resort to his daughter, this could be seen as embezzlement or an illegal transaction.”

Dong-jun, unwilling to back down, countered, “I understand the legal complications, but this may be your only way to survive.” Juno, however, stood his ground, believing that the chairman had always intended to sell the resort. The conversation ended with Dong-jun demanding Juno’s resignation.

Song Ji-ohs Emotional Confession

In another pivotal scene, Juno assessed Dado Resort in front of Song Ji-oh, delivering a mix of praise and hard truths. While acknowledging its exceptional guest reviews, he bluntly stated, “The problem is, it’s not making a profit.”

Song Ji-oh, ever the optimist, responded, “That’s okay. As long as the people at the tea house are happy, that’s all that matters. The money doesn’t concern me.”

Sensing something was wrong, Juno asked, “Are you okay? You seem unwell.” It was then that Song Ji-oh made a shocking revelation, admitting, “Yes, it’s cancer. I had surgery, but it came back. That’s why I can’t sell tea. I’ve decided to leave.”
