At the 30th Critics Choice Awards held on February 7 in Santa Monica, California, Squid Game 2 secured the award for Best Foreign Language Series.
The ceremony, originally planned for January 12, was postponed due to the Los Angeles wildfires.
Squid Game triumphed over strong contenders like Pachinko, Acapulco, Citadel: Honey Bunny, La Máquina, The Law According to Lidia Poët, My Brilliant Friend, and Senna.
This marks the second time the series has won this award, following its first win in 2022 for Season 1, when Lee Jung Jae also earned Best Actor in a Drama Series.
