Son Ye Jin is reportedly considering an offer to star in the upcoming thriller drama Variety, which is set in the idol industry.
The drama, produced by CJ ENM and directed by Kim Yong Hoon of Mask Girl fame, is still in its early stages, with details like the broadcast schedule and casting yet to be finalized.
Son Ye Jin has been offered the role of a charismatic and outspoken character, drawing comparisons to former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin.
The production team is also in talks with former IZ*ONE member Jo Yu Ri for a lead role, alongside plans to cast both active and former idols for key roles.
Meanwhile, Son Ye Jin is preparing to film Netflix’s upcoming series Scandal alongside Ji Chang Wook and has recently completed filming Park Chan Wook’s movie No Other Choice with Lee Byung Hun.
Her agency confirmed that she is reviewing the Variety script but has not made a final decision yet.
