Solskjaer admits he would love to have Ronaldo at Man United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would love to have Cristiano Ronaldo in the current Manchester United squad.

Manchester United enjoyed the most successful season in their 142 years long history during the 1998/99 season wherein they landed the Champions League, Premier League, and the FA Cup.

Led by the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson, the treble-winning side was one of the most well-assembled teams boasting the likes of Peter Schmeichel, Roy Keane, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Jaap Stam, and David Beckham.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is currently at the helm of the team he at the time helped beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League final with a late goal. And he believes some of his former teammates can still add quality to his current Man United side.

When asked by ShivNadarFoundation which treble winner he would welcome back in his team, Solskjaer replied: “That’s not fair, that’s very unfair. I can only have one?

“I would probably pick, can I pick two? Roy Keane and Paul Scholes. I think I would pick those two.

“It’s unfair to Cristiano Ronaldo, who is the best player in the world of course. I played with him so I would like to have him in my team as well. But Keane and Scholes, what an unbelievable midfield.”
