Sky Sports ranks Ronaldo as the Greatest Premier League Transfer of all-time

Sky Sports just made a list of the Premier League’s best transfers in English football history and Cristiano Ronaldo is part of it.

When he first arrived from Sporting CP, Ronaldo cost €18 million but he made up for that price throughout his career at Manchester United.

It didn’t take him long to establish himself as the league’s best player and his final years were absolutely incredible.

We still had no idea about the impact he would have in world football when he left England to play for Real Madrid.

However, his last three years at United were outstanding in every way. Many even argue that the best Cristiano we ever got was the one from those final years as a Red Devil.

Sky Sports just confirmed Ronaldo ranks at the top of their list as the best transfer in Premier League history.

Inside Sky Sports’ list of transfers, Cristiano Ronaldo finished above Thierry Henry, Eric Cantona, Frank Lampard, and Roy Keane in that order.

Other players like Sergio Aguero made the list but in 19th position. The argument they used to pick Ronaldo is easy to understand considering we are talking about one of the two best players in football history.

Even though Thierry Henry is still considered by many as the best overall player in Premier League history.

Cristiano still beat him as the best transfer for the impact he had on the sport. Needless to say, the other players on the list pale in comparison with the Portuguese star who is still going strong at the age of 35.

Premier League fans still harbor some hope of possibly getting Cristiano back to the league during the final years of his career.
