Kim Young Dae and Shin Min Ah have been confirmed to star in tvN’s upcoming rom-com kdrama “Because I Want No Loss.”
It tells the story of a fake marriage between Son Hae Young (Shin Min Ah) and Kim Ji Wook (Kim Young Dae).
“Because I Want No Loss” also known as I Don’t Want to Lose Out is a romantic comedy telling the story of a woman who fakes her wedding because she doesn’t want to lose any money and a man who becomes her fake groom because he doesn’t want to cause her any loss or damage.
Shin Min Ah will star as Son Hae Young, a woman who doesn’t want to lose, no matter when, where, who, or what. She has had to share her mother’s love with others since she was a child, her relationships are often below the break-even point, and when she is about to miss out on a promotion at her company, she plans a fake wedding.
Kim Young Dae has been confirmed for the role of Kim Ji Wook, a night shift convenience store worker who is called a civilian police officer and righteous man in the neighbourhood. Kim Ji Wook is the perfect part-timer with sincerity who can’t turn a blind eye to those in need in his neighbourhood, but his life takes a turn for the worse when he receives an outrageous proposal from his most unlikely customer, Son Hae Young, and accepts to be her fake groom.
The kdrama will be directed by Kim Jung Shik who showed his witty style in the TVING original Work Later, Drink Now (2021) and will be written by Kim Hye Young, who penned Her Private Life (2019).
The production team said, “‘Because I Want No Loss’ is a romantic comedy that can be watched pleasantly without thinking too much after a long time in the flood of various genres, adding it is a drama that you won’t regret watching because it adds a realistic story that you can relate to.”
Because I Want No Loss k-drama is set to premiere on tvN in 2024.
