Our Blues also known as Ulideului Beulluseu, 우리들의 블루스 is directed by Kim Kyu Tae the man behind Live (2018), Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016), IRIS (2014) and will be written by Noh Hee Kyung, the writer behind succesful dramas such as Dear My Friends (2016), The Most Beautiful Goodbye (2017), Padam Padam (2011). Both of them have worked together on many hit dramas like Live (2018), It’s Okay, That’s Love (2014) and That Winter, The Wind Blows (2013).
Our Blues Plot
Our Blues is an omnibus-style drama that covers the story of a wide cast of characters who are somehow tied in some way.
Lee Dong Suk, who was born on the beautiful island of Jeju, makes a career by selling vehicles. He meets Min Sun Ah, a girl with a murky past who has come to Jeju to escape that life.
Park Jung Joon, a ship captain, falls in love with Lee Young Ok, a diver with a bright and effervescent attitude.
Jung Eun Hee, the proprietor of a fish shop, reunites with her former boyfriend Choi Han Soo. When he returns to Jeju Island after deciding that city life is not for him, they meet paths.
Our Blues Release Date
Our Blues is scheduled to premiere on April 9 2022 on Netflix. The show is set to have 20 episodes and will end its run on June 12 2022.
Our Blues Cast
Lee Byung Hun will portray Lee Dong Suk, a truck salesman born and reared in the rural of Jeju Island. Lee has starred in hit dramas such has Mr. Sunshine (2018), IRIS (2009), All In (2003), Beautiful Days (2001)
Shin Min Ah will star in the role of Min Sun Ah, a woman with a secret who arrives in Jeju. Shin recently starred in hit series Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021).
Han Ji Min morphs into Lee Young Ok, a rookie haenyeo (female diver gathering sea life) with a lively personality who is dogged by rumours. Han is best known for starring in dramas such as One Spring Night (2019), The Light in Your Eyes (2019), Familiar Wife (2018), Rooftop Prince (2012).
Kim Woo Bin plays ship captain Park Jung Joon, a sweet character who meets and falls in love with Lee Young Ok. Our Blues will be his first project after a 4-year hiatus.
Cha Seung Won will star as Choi Han Soo after acclimating to city life, he returns to his hometown of Jeju. Cha has been of dramas such as One Ordinary Day (2021), A Korean Odyssey (2017), You’re All Surrounded (2014), The Greatest Love (2011).
Lee Jung Eun will play Jung Eun Hee, a fish shop owner who reunites with her first love Choi Han Soo after 30 years. She is best recognised for her portrayal of the housekeeper Moon-gwang in the Academy Award-winning film Parasite.
Uhm Jung Hwa will play Go Mi Ran, Jung Eun Hee’s buddy who returns to Jeju after growing tired of city life.
Other cast members include Kim Hye Ja, Go Doo Shim, Bae Hyun Sung and Roh Yoon Seo.
