In a statement on Twitter on Monday evening, EA confirmed that will be no FIFA 21 Demo for fans to play this year.
For most players around the world, the FIFA 21 Demo would have been the first chance to test out the new game ahead of it being released, with Kick-Off Mode and Volta Football included as playable modes in the FIFA 20 demo last year, giving players an idea of what they can expect from the full game.
But that won’t be possible this year, with EA confirming that there will be no FIFA 21 Demo to play ahead of the full game being released, which goes against the tradition of previous years, as there is normally a demo version released roughly two weeks before the full FIFA game being released every year.
Of course, players who pre-order the FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition or Champions Edition on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC will be able to play from October 6, 2020, whilst EA Play subscribers will be able to play a ten-hour trial of FIFA 21 from October 1, 2020.
But this news will still be a big blow for casual players who had hoped they would get a taste of the game, before deciding whether to actually purchase or pre-order the full game ahead of its release date.
In a statement on the official EA SPORTS FIFA Twitter account on Tuesday evening, EA confirmed and explained their decision not to release a FIFA 21 demo.
“We aren’t releasing a demo for FIFA 21,” said the statement.
“Instead we’ve made the decision to focus our development team’s time on delivering the best full game experience for current & next-gen consoles.
“We look forward to EA PLAY members jumping in 10 days from now and launching the game Oct 9.”

Many FIFA fans had speculated on social media that the FIFA 21 demo was due to be released on Tuesday September 22, 2020 at 3pm UK time on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
But with no demo being released for FIFA 21, the first time most will be able to play the new game will be on release day, which could change slightly depending on the version purchased.
FIFA 21 will be released worldwide on October 9, 2020, but some editions will allow you to play FIFA 21 slightly earlier than this.
If you pre-order the FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition or Champions Edition on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC you’ll be able to play from October 6, 2020, with the Standard Edition allowing fans to play from the game’s official UK and worldwide release date of October 9, 2020.
