“The Tyrant” is a four-part chase action drama about the disappearance of the final sample from the “Tyrant Program” due to a delivery mishap.
The story involves a chain of pursuits with individuals competing to secure the sample, each with different motives.
Cha Seung Won stars as Im Sang, a former agent tasked with eliminating those connected to the Tyrant Program.
Kim Seon Ho plays Director Choi, the unofficial mastermind behind the program, linked to a government agency.
Director Choi is a character who tirelessly fights to protect the Tyrant Program from external forces and remains calm in the face of any crisis.
Kim Seon Ho took on a challenging role in “The Tyrant” that is different from his previous roles.
He worked closely with Director Park Hoon Jung to capture detailed expressions and emotional shifts.
“Unlike the roles I’ve taken on before, this character is lonely and isolated, and I wanted to take on that challenge.” He added, “Director Park Hoon Jung and I worked closely to capture the detailed expressions and subtle emotional shifts in each scene.”

“The Tyrant” is scheduled to premiere on August 14.
