Barcelona defender Gerard recently said that Barcelona would struggle to retain their La Liga title. The defender hinted that decisions were being made in favor of bitter rivals Real Madrid.
At his press conference before Los Blancos’ upcoming game against Real Sociedad, the French manager refused to be drawn on the comments, insisting his focus is on the game.
According to the club’s official website Zidane said: “Nothing has changed.”
“We have a game tomorrow and we have talked about 11 finals.”
“We will give everything and without thinking about anything else.”
“Say one thing or another. What interests me is tomorrow’s game.”
“I have my opinion, but I will not comment on it because it can happen the other way around.”
“The truth is that what encourages us is tomorrow’s game. Nothing else.”
When pushed on the matter he all but rubbished the suggestion but would go no further.
He added: “I don’t believe they are favoring us.”
