Go Ara, who plays the role of Princess Hwa Ri, teased that the drama is a heartfelt exploration of life’s challenges and triumphs. “First and foremost, it captures ‘life,’” she revealed. “From Episodes 1 to 10, Princess Hwa Ri goes through all sorts of challenges. There are many events that hit her like a giant wave. So there are plenty of emotional scenes as well.”

She also highlighted the importance of love in the story, describing the drama as a “rainbow” that showcases the diverse experiences of its characters. “Love can’t be left out either,” she added. “It’s also like a ‘rainbow,’ because it contains stories of various people. There’s our couple’s love story, and most of the characters have their own love stories to share as well. I hope viewers will focus on that aspect.”

Choi Hwan: A Character Like an Onion

Jang Ryul, who portrays the enigmatic Choi Hwan, described his character as “an onion.” He explained, “At first, you can’t really tell what kind of person he is. The synopsis mentions words like ‘rich’ and ‘playboy,’ but these alone don’t fully explain him, and you’ll get to see a different side of Choi Hwan. I was also drawn to this multidimensional character.”

This complexity was a key factor in Jang Ryul’s decision to take on the role, as he found the layers of Choi Hwan’s personality both intriguing and challenging to portray.

Princess Hwa Ri: A Journey of Maturity

Go Ara reflected on her character’s evolution throughout the drama, emphasizing the growth and transformation of Princess Hwa Ri. “At the beginning, Princess Hwa Ri is an immature girl, but the process of how she grows into a mature person was what attracted me,” she shared. “I felt that I could portray a wide spectrum of emotions.”

This emotional range is sure to resonate with viewers, as Go Ara’s portrayal of Princess Hwa Ri promises to be both relatable and inspiring.

When asked what they hoped to learn from each other, both actors expressed admiration for their co-star’s unique qualities.
