Eden Hazard aims to be fully fit for Real Madrid ahead of the restart

Eden Hazard has suffered quite an underwhelming debut season in Spain.

The 29-year-old was signed to be a ‘galactico’ player but has failed to make any real impact since joining from Chelsea last summer.

So far this season, Hazard has only managed 10 La Liga appearances and a further five in all competitions.

Injuries haven’t made it any better for the Belgian and he recently admitted this season has been a poor one for him at Madrid.

Hazard was set to miss the remainder of the La Liga campaign but the suspension of football has given him a lifeline.

He could yet play a remainder of Los Blancos’ season and the former Chelsea man has revealed he wants to be at full fitness ahead of the restart.

The La Liga have June 12 penciled as a potential restart date and Hazard is aiming to be fully ready with the hopes of finishing the season on a high.

“I feel really good to be back on the pitch working with my team-mates,” Hazard told “After two months out, I need more physical work and more ball work. I just want to be ready for the next game.”

“The sessions are better now,” Hazard said. “We can train as we like to. The first week was a little strange, but now we can train in groups again and also with the goals.

“We just want to be together and try to work as a group.”
