Cristiano Ronaldo did not play a minute of the exhibition match due to fatigue.
Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri confirmed Cristiano sat on the bench in their exhibition match against Team K League due to fatigue.
Ronaldo did not play any part in the game as the Old Lady drew 3-3.
De Ligt was in the squad from the start and played the whole game. Higuaín and Mandzukic were also in the lineup
The aforementioned duo and Bernardeschi formed the front trio in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo
Maurizio Sarri while speaking in the post match presser revealed that he had a talk with Ronaldo and Andrea Agnelli.
After hearing that the Portuguese superstar was tired he decided not to play him in the preseason friendly.
“We gave room to some of the younger figures who were ready to step up. Ronaldo was very tired, so we decided to rest him,”Sarri said.
“Ronaldo was expected to play, but he was not 100 per cent fit due to muscle fatigue. I spoke with Andrea and Ronaldo before the match and we concluded that it would be best for him to rest.”
The 34 year old has scored two goals for Juventus this pre-season. He will be hoping that he continues this streak as Juve will next face Atletico Madrid on August 10 in Stockholm.
“Now we have 10 days without games, so we can focus on preparing well in training,”Sarri concluded.
