Cristiano Ronaldo reached 3 new career milestones in Cagliari win

Ronaldo made the difference yet again for Juventus on Saturday by scoring both goals to wrap up a 2-0 win over Cagliari.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner nailed his first goal with an exquisite finish in the 38th-minute before grabbing another just four minutes later. He also supplied three chances for the team, made two recoveries, and won five duels.

But that’s just the start of it…

Beats Ferenc Puskas’ record in all-time goalscoring rankings

After moving level on 746 career goals with Ferenc Puskas against Andorra during the international break, Ronaldo’s brace means he has overtaken his fellow Real Madrid legend in the all-time goalscoring charts.

The Juventus ace is now in fourth-place on 748 career goals behind Pele (767 goals), Romario (772), and Josef Bican (805).

Only 57 goals stand between Ronaldo and Bican in the charts. And considering CR7 is such a beast inside the box, it’s only a matter of time before he becomes the highest goalscorer in history.

First Juventus player to score in his first 5 Serie A games

Another day, another goal, and another record for Ronaldo.

His brace not only won Juve all three points, but it made him the club’s first player to have scored in all his opening five Serie A games of a new season since the three-points-per-win era began in 1994/95, according to OptaPaolo.

60 Serie A goals in record time

The Real Madrid legend has now scored 60 goals in only 69 Serie A games – a new record!

Nobody in the Italian league’s history has scored so many goals in such a short amount of time. When you consider all the greats to played in Italy, like Ronaldo Nazario and Alessandro Del Piero, that’s one hell of an achievement.

Ronaldo has also moved level with Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the top of the Serie A goal charts for this season. He’s won the Premier League and La Liga Golden Boot awards and will be determined to nail the Capocannoniere this season.
