The Chelsea teen sensation Billy Gilmour has admitted that his idol is Andres Iniesta.
The youngster broke into scene after two back to back Man of the Match performances against Liverpool and Spurs.
Before that he made some cameo appearances for Chelsea during Christmas.
Speaking to BBC Sport he admits he is surprised to even be involved in the first team this season. He said:
“No, I never expected it at all.”
“I thought I was going to be in the U23s all season.”
He also reveals which football star he models his game on.
On the Spanish World Cup winner he added:
“It was always Iniesta.”
“I just loved the way he played, how he got the ball, passing the ball.”
He admits his game is based on his hero’s.
Gilmour continued:
“I like to get on the ball, drop deep a lot and create play.”
“I’ve always been told to work hard and everything else will fall in place.”
