Reports surfaced earlier today out of Spain that Hakimi has signed a contract extension with Real Madrid until 2023.
However, the 21-year-old defender’s agent has moved to dismiss these stories as false.
This has only heightened speculation surrounding his future. Will he return to Madrid, will they sell him or even loan him back out.
Hakimi’s agent Alejandro Camano told Goal, nothing has changed and anticipates that all parties will sit down at the end of the season.
He said:
“There is no basis at all to the Marca report about Hakimi’s contract.”
“His contract at Real Madrid is still the same one we negotiated in 2017 and it runs until 2022.”
“We have to wait. After this misery (the coronavirus outbreak) we will sit together with Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.”
