Cristiano Ronaldo First Interview Back At Manchester United.
CRISTIANO RONALDO: “I’m not here for vacation. I’m here to win again. We can do it, my teammates and I. I’m ready.”
CRISTIANO: “As I told you, before was good, winning important things and I wore the shirt before many years ago, but I am here to win again.”
CRISTIANO RONALDO: “I am capable, me and my team-mates. I am ready to go, I am ready to go. It is a good chance for me, for the supporters, for the club, to get one step ahead. I am ready and I think I will be a huge thing in the next three or four years.”
CRISTIANO RONALDO: “People speak about the age but they should know I’m different. I am different. I’m different than the rest of the people. I show off all the time year by year and this year will be the same.”
CRISTIANO: “Of course I will be nervous on Saturday, but I am more mature, I am more experienced, I will be prepared and I am going to make pressure to Ole now to start in the XI [laughs]. I am ready to go!”
RONALDO: “The new players, the new lads, the young lads… I think they have huge potential. I’m here again to win, to make history.”
CRISTIANO: “It is a good feeling [to be back]. I know the people here are different. Since I touched on the ground in the airport on the first day, I felt the people’s emotion.”
RONALDO: “That is not because I am a United player: they saw me growing up here since I was 18 years old, with my passion and everything. I feel very emotional, with the desire. I feel good, with good energy.”
CRISTIANO RONALDO on his first Manchester United debut:
“I did not expect to start or to even come on in the game [in 2003], so I was super nervous. Of course I will be nervous on Saturday, but I am more mature, I am more experienced.”
CRISTIANO RONALDO on his Man United debut against Bolton: “I was so nervous. I didn’t expect to play because when I signed for Manchester I thought I would be back to Portugal for one more year. Sir Alex Ferguson said ‘No, no, you’re going to stay here’.”
