Tencent is reportedly preparing to launch production on its male-centric costume drama The Legend of Lu Xiaofeng: 凤舞九天, with filming rumored to begin on March 6. The project has already sparked interest among wuxia fans and drama viewers, particularly due to its star-studded cast and the enduring popularity of its source material.
The drama is adapted from The Legend of Lu Xiaofeng (陆小凤传奇), the classic wuxia novel series by Gu Long, and will be produced by Linmon. Gong Jun is set to lead the series, with a supporting cast that includes Zheng Yecheng, Wang Yilun, Quan Yilun, Sun Zhenni, Zhu Xudan, Chen Youwei, He Landou, and Fu Jing.
Centered on the legendary martial artist and detective Lu Xiaofeng, the story is expected to weave together mystery, martial arts, and intricate power struggles within the jianghu.
