Juventus are reportedly plotting a move for Marcelo when the transfer market reopens in January.
Marcelo has been deemed surplus to requirements at Real Madrid with manager Zinedine Zidane no longer having the player in his future plans for the club, according to Todo Fichajes.
The veteran defender’s 13-year-long stay at the Santiago Bernabeu could finally come to an end with, as the report further claims, Los Blancos looking to cash in on him next month.
Juve made an approach for the 32-year-old left-back last summer. They could bring him in on a loan deal in January with a later purchase option.
Should the transfer go through, it will see Cristiano Ronaldo reunited with his former Real Madrid partner in crime of several years. Over the course of nine seasons, Ronaldo and Marcelo won four Champions League titles, two LaLiga, and two Copa del Rey trophies.
However, the Bianconeri are not alone in this operation as their interest in signing the left-back is also shared by Inter Milan.
Real Madrid could demand up to €12 million for their highly-decorated player.
