After having trials with the likes of Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Manchester City, a 16-year old Martin Odegaard finally opted for a move to Real Madrid in 2015.
Touted then as a wonderkid, Odegaard has since been spending time on loan away so as to continue his development. After two not so special spells in his homeland, he joined Real Sociedad on a two-year loan deal last summer.
A meteoric rise to prominence for the Norwegian this season, however, has reportedly forced Real Madrid to consider cutting his loan move in half at the end of this season.

Olabe said, as per Marca: “Martin decided to come to us after having an agreement with [Bayer] Leverkusen. I imagine that he liked what he heard and saw, and I understand that it’s going to be similar now.
“We’ve had a special relationship with Real Madrid for some time. There is an open conversation and they know how Martin is and what he’s thinking.”
“I’m moderately optimistic from what I see on Martin’s face. I have a lot of confidence in him, not just as a player, but how he is.”
