Netflix has officially confirmed that Boyfriend on Demand, its highly anticipated Korean romantic comedy starring Jisoo and Seo In-guk, will premiere globally on March 6, 2026. The series will stream exclusively on Netflix and is positioned as one of the platform’s marquee K-drama releases for early 2026.
Boyfriend on Demand follows Seo Mi-rae, portrayed by Jisoo, a talented but emotionally exhausted webtoon producer who turns to a subscription-based virtual dating service reminder designed to deliver the perfect romantic experience. What begins as a controlled, digital escape quickly becomes complicated when emotions from the virtual world begin to overlap with her real life.
Seo In-guk stars as Park Kyeong-nam, Mi-rae’s colleague whose growing presence introduces genuine emotional tension and a grounded counterpoint to her artificial romance. The drama blends workplace dynamics, modern dating culture and speculative technology, offering a light but reflective take on relationships in the digital age.

The series is confirmed as a 10-episode Netflix Original and features a supporting cast that includes Gong Min-jeung, Kim Ah-young and Park Hae-rin.
Early teasers have highlighted playful chemistry, stylish visuals and a warm rom-com tone that balances humour with emotional sincerity.
With its March debut, the drama is expected to become one of the first major romantic hits of Netflix’s 2026 Korean slate.
