Cristiano Ronaldo posted a statement amidst coronavirus fears

Ronaldo sent a message of support to his teammate Daniele Rugani who was tested positive for the virus.

The Italian was the first Serie A player to have contracted the virus. After that Juventus squad was put in isolation.

Rugani was in the heart of celebrations after Juventus won against Inter Milan.

There have been rumors that Ronaldo and Dybala also had the virus but both claims have been debunked by official authorities.

Ronaldo has now issued a statement via his Twitter account urging everyone to follow WHO’s guidelines and took to wish teammate Daniele Rugani well.

“The world is going through a very difficult moment which demands the utmost care and attention form all of us,” Ronaldo tweeted.

“I speak to you today not as a football player, but as a son, father, a human being concerned with the latest developments that is affecting the whole world”

It is important we follow the guidelines of WHO and the governing bodies on how we handle this situation.

Ronaldo then took to send his sympathies to those affected including Daniele Rugani.

“I would like to send my thoughts to everyone who has lost someone close to them, my solidarity to those who are fighting the virus, like my teammate Daniele Rugani and my continued support to the amazing health professionals who put their life at risk to save others.”
