Barcelona are set to lose Rakitic in the summer and the player is pushing for a movee to Sevilla according to reports in Spain.
He joined Barca in 2014 and after a hugely successful time at the club, the 32 year old is now aiming for a return to Seville.
Rakitic’s contract runs until June 2021 but Barcelona are open to selling him now for something rather than losing him for free next summer.
As per the report, the Croatian is not leaving the club because he is unhappy but more because of his emotional entanglement with former club Sevilla.
Sevilla have already made contact with Barca and are keen on a return for a player they are well familiar with.
The Catalan side also need to raise funds this summer and Rakitic’s sale could greatly play a part in that goal.
