It’s safe to say that the Italian goalkeeper had some room to guess what Cristiano would do after studying his every move.
The situation was red hot for both players when the penalty was awarded for Juventus and Gollini came out on top.
During such a massive moment of pressure, Cristiano Ronaldo proved he is human after all with a predictable shot.
Gollini wasn’t going to allow another goal from the Portuguese forward after the two he allowed throughout last season.
If he scored that penalty, Juventus would’ve probably gotten the three points and would’ve gotten fully in the fight for the title.
But Gollini had other plans as he explained on Sky Sport after the match: “He is one of the best players of all time, he had been picking the same angle for a while and I felt he would change it against me. He scored two goals from two against me last season, this time I won the duel.”
