“Confident.” That is the word Jang Won-young uses to describe herself at this point in her life, a mindset that reflects both her personal growth and the message behind SHOW WHAT I HAVE, the world tour currently headlined by IVE.
Known as one of Gen Z’s most recognizable stars, Jang Won Young has spent years pursuing her dreams while steadily discovering herself in the process.
Despite her global fame and ever-growing popularity, the singer revealed that her perspective on life remains deeply rooted in self-belief and mental resilience.

“I acknowledge that my mentality is determined by what I think, so I will always be young,” she said with a laugh, referencing the idea of “Forever Young” while sharing her optimistic outlook.
Although her success continues to expand worldwide, Jang Won Young shared that she takes pride in something deeply personal rather than achievements alone.

Reflecting on how she handles both triumphs and setbacks, she explained, “No matter what, good or bad, I always praise myself. Because I have worked hard regardless of the results, nothing has changed.”

Throughout the interview, the IVE star spoke with quiet confidence, encouraging others to trust themselves no matter the circumstances. “Please always believe in yourself and put yourself first,” she said, delivering the message with warmth and sincerity.
While Jang Won Young is often admired for her doll-like visuals and graceful image, she revealed that what has changed the most since her debut is her mindset.

Beneath her elegant and feminine presence lies a strong sense of discipline and resilience, qualities she considers essential while navigating life as a public figure under constant attention.
Having worked in a fast-paced entertainment environment filled with pressure and unpredictability, she explained that personal growth has become one of her biggest priorities.
Alongside refining her performance skills, she hopes to mature into a stronger person with a resilient inner self.

Her dedication to self-improvement is reflected in every aspect of her career. Whether through polished stage performances, poised public appearances, or viral moments such as the globally imitated “Won-young pose,” Jang Won Young has consistently maintained a reputation for professionalism and composure.
Beyond music, the idol has also established herself as a respected host. From her long-running role on Music Bank to hosting the Asia Artist Awards for five consecutive years, she has earned praise for bringing charm, humor, and confidence to major entertainment events.

Speaking about those experiences, Jang Won Young admitted that leading prestigious ceremonies remains a meaningful accomplishment. “Being able to lead the overall program as the host in a prestigious event where so many talented entertainers are gathered is fascinating in itself,” she shared. “It also makes me feel very proud.”
Meanwhile, IVE recently returned with their second full Korean album, REVIVE+, showcasing a wide variety of concepts ranging from romance and campus-inspired fashion to Y2K aesthetics, once again highlighting the group’s versatility.

Even with her accomplishments, Jang Won Young says she has no intention of staying in one place. Looking toward the future, she hopes to challenge herself in more diverse fields and ultimately become an “irreplaceable person,” someone who cannot be defined by only one role or talent.
Ending with heartfelt advice for young people pursuing their own ambitions, Jang Won Young encouraged others to continue believing in themselves.
