Kim Hye Yoon and Lee Chae Min in Talks to Lead K-Drama Adaptation of The Miracles of the Namiya General Store

A beloved Japanese bestseller is heading to the Korean small screen, with Kim Hye Yoon and Lee Chae Min reportedly in talks to headline the drama adaptation of The Miracles of the Namiya General Store.

The upcoming project, currently in pre-production, is expected to span approximately 10 episodes and reimagine the heartwarming fantasy novel for a new audience.

According to reports, Kim Hye Yoon has received an offer to play the female lead and is currently reviewing the proposal.

Lee Chae Min is also considering the male lead role, while Moon Sang Min is said to be discussing a potential special appearance, adding further intrigue to the project’s casting lineup.

The series will adapt the internationally acclaimed novel by Japanese author Higashino Keigo, a story that blends mystery, fantasy, and emotional drama.

The narrative follows three thieves who seek refuge in the mysterious Namiya General Store after a robbery. Inside the seemingly ordinary shop, they begin receiving letters from people seeking advice — despite the letters appearing to come from the past.

As the trio responds to these heartfelt messages, they gradually uncover miraculous connections that transcend time.

The advice they offer not only impacts the lives of the letter writers but also begins to reshape their own destinies.

The store becomes a symbolic bridge between past and present, regret and redemption, weaving together stories of hope, second chances, and unseen bonds.
