Tantara is an upcoming 2026 South Korean drama set to arrive on Netflix in the fourth quarter of the year. Set within the Korean entertainment industry from the 1960s through the 1980s, the series follows driven talents fighting for recognition and survival in an unforgiving creative landscape.
At its center is Min-ja, a young woman who climbs from hardship toward her dreams, and Dong-gu, her steadfast childhood friend who accompanies her through the evolving world of music and show business. Written by noted screenwriter Noh Hee-kyung and directed by Lee Yoon-jung, the series features Song Hye-kyo and Gong Yoo in the leading roles, joined by Kim Seol-hyun, Cha Seung-won, and Lee Ha-nee in key supporting parts.
Against a richly drawn historical backdrop, Tantara explores ambition, loyalty, and the personal costs of stardom.
