Jang Ki Yong opened up about his role and excitement for SBS’s upcoming romantic comedy “Dynamite Kiss.” The drama tells the story of Go Da Rim (Ahn Eun Jin), a single woman who pretends to be a married mother to get a job, and Gong Ji Hyuk (Jang Ki Yong), her team leader who ends up falling for her after a single, unforgettable kiss changes everything.
Jang Ki Yong plays Gong Ji Hyuk, a man admired for his looks, talent, and confidence, yet someone who has always been skeptical about love—until he meets Da Rim. Describing his character, the actor shared that while Gong Ji Hyuk appears cool and composed on the outside, he transforms into a warm, honest, and even childlike person when he’s with someone he loves.
When asked why he chose this project, Jang Ki Yong explained that he previously worked briefly with director Kim Jae Hyun and had such a great experience that he wanted to collaborate again. Upon reading the script for “Dynamite Kiss,” he found it both entertaining and full of charm, which made him eager to take on the role.
He added that what makes Gong Ji Hyuk especially appealing is his passion—he gives his all in both his career and his relationships, which makes his emotional journey deeply relatable. “Dynamite Kiss” is set to premiere on November 12.
